Vivio's eyes widened a bit when she noticed that Gohan was about to be attacked by a guy with a sword, but so far it seemed like he was doing okay. She didn't need to help him out.

So she decided to send more blasts of magic towards the soldiers instead, not wanting to give them a chance to regroup.

"Isn't there something kinda backward about bringing out the guy with the sword AFTER all the guns?" Raz mutters before resuming his assault. They were taking care of the soldiers all right, but the tanks were another issue altogether.

Of course, the thing about tanks is, they're great with long ranges. Not so great with little kids suddenly swinging over onto one of them and sticking his face down over the driver's optics. "HI!" he says, grinning, before promptly giving it a good hard smack with a psychic fist the size of his body.

Kirby looked as the new person arrived. At the moment, it looked like the two fighters had it under control. It was time to attack the tanks!

Inflating himself, he flew himself over one of the tanks and, taking up a Rock form, crashed on top of it.

Raz and Kirby do much to disrupt the tank line, and Vivio does much to pin down the soldiers before they can launch a counter-attack. The troops begin to attempt to regroup, fortifying their position and laying down some cover fire against Raz and Kirby with their rifles to help the tanks get into position.

Without missing a blink the man leaps into the air, easily equallying Gohan's speed of ascent as he slices at the energy balls with his sword. The blade glows with brilliant light as the energy balls are deflected and launched back at Gohan as he raises his sword to follow through with a slashing attack.

A look of surprise crosses Gohan's face, but it doesn't last for long, as a huge energy burst, accompanied with a powerful shockwave, emanates from the boy as his hair and eyes change color. He then seems to disappear...only to reappear behind his opponent with a kick aimed at the back of his head.

Vivio's eyes widen a bit when she sees just how fast that guy with the sword moves, but there's nothing that she can really do to help him at the moment.

At least, not if she wanted Raz and Kirby to finish off those tanks.

She concentrated, sending out more balls of magic towards the soldiers, this time trying to fire as many as she could, as fast as she could. Those soldiers couldn't be allowed to regroup.

Raz scrambles around the back of the tank in order to give himself some cover. He COULD use his shields, but that'd slow him down too much. Besides, it'd be a lot easier if he just uses...

"Yoink!"

A bevy of confusion grenades fly over and into the crowd of soldiers. Yeah, try aiming in an organized fashion NOW, guys.

Kirby shifted out of his Rock form and quickly shuffled away and to behind the tank. They were starting to get rough here! An idea came to him, though, as he remembered seeing Raz slam his tank with a psychic fist.

A few moments later, Kirby decided to do the same, punching his tank and intending on plowing over those soldiers and scatter them.

The tank line is decimated as the soldiers fall back, shouldering their rifles. Forming up, they launch a wide dispersion of silver energy rays at the team.

The man takes his left arm off his blade, following through with the slash which disperses the energy before it can hit him. Whirling around, he raises his arm and a silver shield folds out, taking the kick and sending him hurtling towards the ground, where he lands nimbly on his feet and skids across the ground for several yards.

Gohan will note that contact with the shield was actually fairly painful.

"What the?!" Gohan tucked the leg that he just kicked with back. How could mere physical contact with a shield cause that kind of pain?

Gohan let his mind run for a few seconds. Those armaments must be made out of astral silver. Gohan wasn't quite certain what that meant, but he did know that they possessed unusual properties.

Furthermore, this man's reflexes were impressive to be able to keep up with the movements of a Super Saiyan. Gohan's best option for victory might be to go all out on the man, but he wanted to make sure all other possibilities were exhausted before he did that -- and besides, if the other three continued to cut through the enemy army at the rate they were currently taking things at, it wouldn't be long before one or more of them could come to his assistance.

And that's when it hit Gohan. Just thinking about assistance led him to remember all the times he'd gotten aid in battle. And on more than one occasion, it was Krillin, using a certain borrowed technique...

Gohan moved so that he was facing away from the rest of the soldiers and his allies. He made sure his opponent was looking directly at him, then opened his palms, fingers spread out, then raised them to his forehead, palms facing toward him. He'd seen it enough times to get the gist of how it worked, and so...

"SOLAR FLAAAAARE!"

...the battlefield was filled with a brilliant light.

"Gah!"

Vivio shouted as she felt the blast of light hit her eyes, shutting them as she continued to concentrate on the battle. God, Gohan, couldn't you warn the team before doing something like that next time?

Either way though, she needed to move, and fast. Now that her eyes were closed, it was going to be a lot harder to dodge those blasts that she had seen from the soldiers. Not that she wasn't going to try, flying up a bit more into the sky to make sure she wasn't hit by those that were aiming at her.

Note to self: Confusion grenades? Not so effective against Astral Silver stuff.

Raz soon grows tired of having to dodge quite so much. The tanks are clearly toast; Raz supposes the logical explanation for that is the fact that NOBODY gets attached enough to a darn tank on an individual level to let the silver get anything other than somewhat stiff. He yells out to Kirby. "Hey! Stop messing with the tanks and follow my lead!"

And then -- he disappears. Invisibility is a wonderful thing -- and having a second guy with invisibility? Well. Time for a little psychological warfare.

Kirby had reverted himself to his Rock form again, trying to ride out the laser fire - why were they silver? Laser fire wasn't silver! - when he heard Raz's call.

"Okay!" he called back, reverting to normal form and turning invisible as he ran towards where Raz was.

Fortunately for Vivio and the team, the blast of light stunned the enemy soldiers as well, giving them a moment of respite.

The man grunts, raising his shield and shutting his eyes, momentarily stunned by the flash.

Gohan took the opportunity to attack. Using his speed, he dropped down behind his opponent in the blink of an eye...but that would be too predictable. So Gohan circled around just as quickly, throwing a punch from head on, at the most vulnerable spot that the shield did not cover.

Vivio shook her head, blinking as her vision returned to her. She looked over at the battlefield, and noticed that Gohan was starting to have a hard time. So she concentrated, sending out a telepathic message.

"Raz! Kirby! If I go to help Gohan will you two be able to deal with the rest of the army on your own? Fire a blast of something straight up if you guys can!"

One of Raz's little "gifts" from Division 0084 had been some enhancements made to his goggles; specifically, it had been lined with a material that prevented him from accidentally reading thoughts. Whether this had actually been created for HIS benefit or because everybody was tired of him accidentally overhearing them when they were thinking about embarrassing things is impossible to say. The problem, however, is that it works both ways. Which is why the message, for RAZ at least, goes completely unheard.

"Okay, Kirby, on the count of three, we're gonna run around the army and start shooting frustration bullets at them, got it? Don't stay in any one place for too long, and if you feel like your invisibility's gonna wear off, find a place to retreat and recharge. We're gonna keep them off guard, got it? Let's do this!"

The best thing about Kirby's Copy ability was that it copied powers, not costume enhancements. Thus, while Raz missed the memo, Kirby didn't.

"Small change, if it's okay!" Kirby said. "Vivio needs us to... oh, wait, that is the plan!" Laughing just a bit, he added, "Let's make sure we make the big guy worry, too!"

While Kirby and Raz plan, the soldiers begin to recover from the Solar Flare and start to resume firing.

The man's battle sense is impressive, while he doesn't completely guard, he manages to lessen the blow, but is still sent downward, his face bruised heavily from Gohan's attack. Sweeping his sword, he slashes in a circle along the ground below Gohan and a beam of silver energy materializes and instantly shoots into the sky creating an enormous pillar of light.
