Phoenix has to admit more people have arrived than he'd expected. At least there's a couple other Enforcers; it's a relief, really, as he doesn't like the idea of managing something this big by himself. If he had his choice, he'd focus entirely on the mysteries at hand -- but obviously, he really doesn't.

Stay calm, Phoenix. These are the times where you just have to put on your best poker face and hope for the best. After all... there's a lot more people relying on you and everybody involved to get to the bottom of things in a satisfactory fashion. And if we fail... I don't want to think about it.

He nods to the arrivals, looking calmer than he feels. "Nice to see you guys. We've got a lot of work ahead of us, so we'd better make sure we have a plan of action."

Gohan took the opportunity to attack. Using his speed, he dropped down behind his opponent in the blink of an eye...but that would be too predictable. So Gohan circled around just as quickly, throwing a punch from head on, at the most vulnerable spot that the shield did not cover.

Vivio shook her head, blinking as her vision returned to her. She looked over at the battlefield, and noticed that Gohan was starting to have a hard time. So she concentrated, sending out a telepathic message.

"Raz! Kirby! If I go to help Gohan will you two be able to deal with the rest of the army on your own? Fire a blast of something straight up if you guys can!"

One of Raz's little "gifts" from Division 0084 had been some enhancements made to his goggles; specifically, it had been lined with a material that prevented him from accidentally reading thoughts. Whether this had actually been created for HIS benefit or because everybody was tired of him accidentally overhearing them when they were thinking about embarrassing things is impossible to say. The problem, however, is that it works both ways. Which is why the message, for RAZ at least, goes completely unheard.

"Okay, Kirby, on the count of three, we're gonna run around the army and start shooting frustration bullets at them, got it? Don't stay in any one place for too long, and if you feel like your invisibility's gonna wear off, find a place to retreat and recharge. We're gonna keep them off guard, got it? Let's do this!"

Okay, Miss Vivio! Got it!

The best thing about Kirby's Copy ability was that it copied powers, not costume enhancements. Thus, while Raz missed the memo, Kirby didn't.

"Small change, if it's okay!" Kirby said. "Vivio needs us to... oh, wait, that is the plan!" Laughing just a bit, he added, "Let's make sure we make the big guy worry, too!"

While Kirby and Raz plan, the soldiers begin to recover from the Solar Flare and start to resume firing.

The man's battle sense is impressive, while he doesn't completely guard, he manages to lessen the blow, but is still sent downward, his face bruised heavily from Gohan's attack. Sweeping his sword, he slashes in a circle along the ground below Gohan and a beam of silver energy materializes and instantly shoots into the sky creating an enormous pillar of light.

Gohan cranked up the speed one more time, and barely managed to avoid the attack. He landed, and this time, waited for his opponent to make the next move. He was going for a change in tack, and wanted to wait and see if he could detect an opening in his opponent's moves that he could exploit.

Vivio blinks, before sending a few blasts over towards the soldiers some more.

"Kirby! Raz! Are you guys going to be able to handle them alright?"

Still can't hear you, Vivio!

Without even realizing someone's trying to ping him, Raz slips once more into invisibility and begins to move, ducking and rolling through shots, and firing his own lobby back. Using his agility, he shoots from all angles -- here from a tree, there from the ground, over and over again, pausing only when his power runs low so he can hide behind a rock, recharge, and start over again.

He SEEMS to be doing all right, anyway.

I'm good, but ah... I don't think Raz can hear you!

Kirby follows suit, going invisible and launching Frustration Shots at different targets, using his small size to his advantage. He also makes sure to nail the guy with the sword as well before diving into a hiding spot to recharge.

Want me to go call him when I see him next?

Raz and Kirby's attacks push the soldiers back, forcing them to withdraw.

The man with the sword casually blocks Kirby's Frustration Shot without missing a beat.

"Blade and soul are one," (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihqXPQwXEVU) the man intones in a deep voice, his sword glowing and crackling with brilliant silver energy.

Bringing the blade to bear, it begins to grow and extend in size as he charges right at Gohan, the blade extending to impossible lengths. Bringing himself to a halt by digging his heels into the ground and churning earth beneath him, he swings the enormous blade, now more like a 50-meter whip in a wide arc, targeting Raz, Kirby, Vivio, and finally Gohan, who is at the epicenter of the titanic strike.

If there was a time to go Super Saiyan 2, it was now -- and that was what Gohan did. He had one shot at this. Moving at a speed that eclipsed anything he'd done in this fight before, he flew the only direction left -- up.

Charging energy in his left hand, he dashed in from above. The man was swinging the sword, but he he tried to use the shield to block, Gohan would use his right hand to force it aside, ready to endure any pain it'd cause. Once he had a clear shot, it was ki blast time. At point blank.

Vivio's eyes widen a bit as she's forced to fly up into the air to dodge the massive, impossibly large energy blade whip thing.

"Yeah! That'd be great! And since when could you use telepathy?" Vivio asked Kirby, before concentrating and sending a few blasts of magic of her own towards the man with the sword. If it would hurt him or not didn't matter, distracting him did.

Yeow! Raz doesn't really have the flying thing down; the best he's got is levitation, which at the very least lets him bounce a hell of a lot higher than normal; as he does, though, the sword clips the bottom of his levitation ball, and with a yelp he finds himself plummeting back to the ground, landing hard. Ow.

Raz's--

Whatever Kirby was going to say, it was cut off as the giant sword came crashing at him. Switching Hammer for Cutter, he tried to block the blade.

Instead, the poor creature got launched into the distance.

Give him a few moments, he'll be back.

The man releases one hand on the sword as the blade begins to quickly retract, raising his shield to defend himself from Gohan and Vivio's attacks. However, he was unable to block the ki blast, which took him full in the chest, blowing away his tunic and revealing a shimmering plate mail underneath. Even still, however, he was launched several meters away, slamming into the ground and leaving a large crater.

Standing, he raises his hand to his ear, listening and nodding for a moment.

"It seems our battle has come to an end for today. We shall settle this another time."

Turning, he dashes away as the soldiers and tanks retreat to the safety of the Isthul lines.

Gohan landed and reverted back to normal. He watched the enemy withdraw from the area, before turning to his allies.

"Guys! Is everyone okay?"

Vivio nodded, landing on the ground and turning back into her normal self, panting a bit. "Yeah, I'm okay."

She shook her head. "Thanks for the help Gohan. That could've gone really badly if you weren't here."
