WHO: All Agents and Enforcers Currently Assigned to Isthul.
WHAT: Handling a very tricky diplomatic issue -- and solving a mystery or two in the process.
WHERE: Isthul.
WHEN: Soon after deployment.
NOTES: This log will have separate threads going for different Enforcers.
Phoenix has to admit more people have arrived than he'd expected. At least there's a couple other Enforcers; it's a relief, really, as he doesn't like the idea of managing something this big by himself. If he had his choice, he'd focus entirely on the mysteries at hand -- but obviously, he really doesn't.
Stay calm, Phoenix. These are the times where you just have to put on your best poker face and hope for the best. After all... there's a lot more people relying on you and everybody involved to get to the bottom of things in a satisfactory fashion. And if we fail... I don't want to think about it.
He nods to the arrivals, looking calmer than he feels. "Nice to see you guys. We've got a lot of work ahead of us, so we'd better make sure we have a plan of action."

ENFORCER ELRIC
Date: 2011-10-17 04:10 am (UTC)He surveyed the situation. "You know what I think, Lucca? I think we can do better than a chain link fence around a portal platform."

Date: 2011-10-17 04:37 am (UTC)"A few metal barricades might do the job."

Date: 2011-10-17 04:54 am (UTC)Edward reached down into the ground with his mind as formulae flowed through his head. Suddenly, the ground started shaking, and with a roar of cracking stone, the chainlink fence grew upwards, until it was topping a ten foot tall wall of compressed stone complete with a walkway and crenelations.

Date: 2011-10-17 05:05 am (UTC)"I'll go and set up the sensor arrays. If anyone tries to rush this place, we'll know about it before THEY even do."

Date: 2011-10-17 05:51 am (UTC)A bit more concentration, and the wall grows spiky gargoyle looking things on top, as well as bas relief skulls over the front gate.
"Much better."

Date: 2011-10-17 06:11 am (UTC)"Uh. Ed? Don't you think that's a bit much? We're supposed to, you know, look good for the locals."

Date: 2011-10-17 06:38 am (UTC)Some more alchemy reduces the evil looking gargoyles to merely statues of guys in armor (http://www.toyshunter.it/store/images/D/SQ80925lg.jpg). The skulls over the gate were traded out for the Confuto Ordinatio emblem.
"Better?"

Date: 2011-10-19 03:18 am (UTC)She vaults the stair on her way down, and darts over to hammer at the keypads to the communicator. All it produces for her effort is a series of dull beeps. "It's gotta be a broad-spectrum frequency jammer! These guys are more organized than we thought! Ed, d'you send the support team back already?! Ohhhh no, it looks like we're on our own until the relief comes in!"

Date: 2011-10-19 03:37 am (UTC)Lucca is staggered. Any normal metal sword would have been dented like tinfoil against that barricade. And that silver energy...
She scrambles for her weapons, powering up her blaster. "ED! Hurry! We might still be able to take out the pilot before he gets here!"
