WHO: Akiko, Kyonko, Kaito, Itsuki, Mao (Disgaea), Evangeline, Duo
WHERE: World ToE
WHEN: Now
WHAT: Investigating Time of Eve on behalf of the Robot Ethics Committee.

Before going to the place of their job, all involved C.O. members are given explicit instructions from the source.

"The Time of Eve café has avoided suspicion, but after reviewing the data stored in the android assigned to investigate it, I believe there has been a mistake in its review. Please thoroughly investigate the café for any unsavory behavior, particularly fraternization between androids and humans and/or violations of Robot Law 9, Article 3*No android is permitted to turn off its ring while in motion.

Though this is a job for the Robot Ethics Committee, do not allow this to be made known. If you feel you may have come under suspicion, leave the premises immediately. This investigation must be conducted under utmost secrecy."

That said, the café itself is quite a pleasant place. Upon entering, the C.O. members are faced with a sign that reads: ”Time of Eve's Rule: In this café, there is to be no discrimination between humans and robots. Customers, please cooperate. Obey the rule and have a fun time...”

The café features a main floor where the counter, a grand piano, and a number of tables can be found, as well as a lounge area with comfortable couches and chairs. There is also a loft where more seating is available. Customers are scattered throughout the place.

How will their investigations go?

((OOC: Please wait until the entire post has been set up before responding~ Thanks!

EDIT: The log is now ready to go!))

The conversation itself seems to involve their own personal problems. The woman in particular often asks in a low voice about the "other woman", while the man attempts to awkwardly brush it off and change topics.

He's still reading, though the reduced rate in turning pages is a giveaway to the fact that he's also, at the same time, paying attention to their conversation.

This is boring, he thinks, but keeps listening because there might be something interesting in their conversation. If only he could pick it out.

After a while, the conversation topic moves to the man's camera and the photos he has on it. Apparently, he enjoys photographing the other café regulars.

Well, finally, it's moving on to something else.

...okay, even if it's just photographs, it's still something other than relationship troubles. He turns a page to keep up appearances, but now most of his attention is focused on the couple's conversation.

"Oh, that's Rikuo on the piano, isn't it?" the woman asks excitedly at one of the pictures.

"Yes, that's right. And here's one of everyone..."

"When we had to watch Chie." The woman's gaze softens, and it's clear they're both enjoying the photographs.

Chie? Rikuo?

He quirks an eyebrow in confusion at the unfamiliar names, mentally filing them away for future use, but other than that, keeps his eyes on the comic book and his ears on the couple.

After a few moments, the woman gives a small gasp. "Isn't that Sammy...?"

"She and Akiko looked so happy, I asked if I could take a photo... But I promised to keep it from Rikuo."

The woman's voice becomes even quieter. "She's still... there, isn't she?"

Likewise, the man lowers his voice, glancing uncomfortably at one of the teenaged boys. "She thinks he would be upset if he saw her..."

Mao keeps his eyes on his comic book, but already his interest has been piqued. This Sammy...what is she hiding, that she'd be so concerned about somebody seeing her?

For a moment, his eyes flick from the comic book to the teenagers' table, though it quickly returns to the material in his hands.

"...Rikuo has done so much for me. I wish I could help them..." the woman sighs, leaning her head on the man's shoulder.

"Me too, Rina. Ever since he and Masaki came here... things have gotten better, I think."

Rikuo, huh. That name seems rather important, from the amount of times it's come up in the conversation.

And Masaki...hm. Another name to store away, along with the woman's--Rina. They could be useful in the future, but for now, he keeps listening. You never know what else could come up.

The woman looks around the café once before she continues, lowering her voice even more as she speaks. "Koji, you don't think..."

However, at that moment she chooses to speak almost directly into his ear, making it impossible to hear what else she had to say.

Mao twitches for a moment, turning another page. And just when it was getting interesting, too!

Koji sighs and shakes his head, speaking quietly, but not quite as intimately as Rina. "I don't know, Rina. We'll have to wait and see if the Ethics Comittee takes action..."

And there's the name of the people who wanted to find out what was so wrong about this cafe. So far, though, all Mao has managed to glean is that some Rikuo is important, from the number of times his name has come up. He reads on, listening for any more mentions of the Ethics Committee or anything else. Preferably something related to robots.

"Koji... I don't want to leave you..."

"Neither do I, Rina..."

Things begin to get sappy at an alarming rate.

And there goes all his interest. He stands up, and walks off, muttering something about "stupid sappy idiots". One gets the feeling he's gone through a sappy conversation like this before.

The two remain locked in a loving embrace, oblivious to the world around them.
