As the city continued to burn, a group of travelers emerged from a house that is miraculously still standing despite the damage done to its surrounding. One of them is the Lord Knight, Hayne Roderick, who was tasked by the King to help in the evacuation progress before joining the other adventurers coming over from all the corners of the world to try and defeat the abomination that is destroying the city.

[Here's a list of Job Classes your character can take. Do note that since everyone here is experienced, you all can pick a Transcendant Class.

Each participants are handed a set of healing items of these following types in a Bag of Holding given by Hayne. Do OOCly tell the amount of healing items used so I can keep track of it.

The same went for Tenshi, of course, who also knew what to do, since she had practiced.

"Only primitive idiots charge in without a thought." She loudly announced, and then attacked on her own, Holy Crossing particularly dangerous-seeming targets with her defense-busting weapon.

"You take care of the small fry, I'll go for the strong ones!"

Ryouko's Meteor Assault proved to be effective against a mob of monsters surrounding her! However, Ryouko can feel an oppressive aura lingering over her as from underground, decayed hands begin popping up out of the ground.

Two of those has latched on to Ryouko's feet, leaving her open to three lunging attacks from the front.

Tenshi is doing pretty well right now! However, she will find that the Holy Cross is getting less effective as the time goes on for some reason, and that the enemies' blows are getting stronger with every clash she did.

Flashy special attacks were one thing, but Ryouko was more accustomed to simply brawling anyway. She struggled to free her feet, all the while swinging rather wildly at her attackers.

These katar things were strange... but not too complicated to use, really. And she suddenly recalled another thing from her training... and produced a poison bottle that she had picked up during her preparations.

Some Enchant Deadly Poison should be helpful, after all.

"Well, I did not expect this to be easy! Let's Bash you!"

Tenshi used her rocky shield to shield bash the enemy back, and followed that up by throwing (chaining?) the shield. Let's see what they thought of that!

Ryouko's enhanced weapon are faring quite well against the attackers, however, that's doing pretty much nothing against the hand holding her legs.

Tenshi is also doing well with brute force, as it seems to be more effective than the other holy methods!

However, this changes when a wisp of blue flame appeared in an area. It seemed to be stationary right now, though. Maybe something will happen if you clear the remaining monsters?

Once the immediate threats are taken care of, Ryouko turns her attention to the hands holding her legs. She grimaces, not sure how to approach this... but she's never been much for eloquent solutions. So she'll just do her best to force them off with a

"Sonic Blow!"

"Hey, Ryouko, hurry up, I think we need to keep clearing this stuff." Tenshi yelled over to Ryouko, after she had noticed the flame.

Clearing shouldn't be too problematic. She too made an effort to finish their part quickly enough, with some further slams.

Clearing the enemies. The small wisp of blue flame hovers above all the bodies of dead monster, before absorbing all of their bodies, this includes the hands Ryouko decimated just now.

After a while, the wisp is now a huge body of flame floating in the air. It begins to take a vaguely human shape, before it ends up looking like so.



...The man said nothing as he unsheathed his large sword, and charged at Tenshi.

Ryouko wasn't sure what to make of this new creature, though it was certainly rather intimidating.

But she was never one for caution, and so simply charged at it. While she'd done it once already, it had great effect and is more or less her class's main skill so she'd try using it again.

"Sonic Blow!"

"What are you doing! I'm supposed to engage stuff like that first, you're the fragile wimp who attacks from behind, if at all!"

Tenshi yelled at Ryouko, and faced the armored person who, judging by sword, was probably somewhat tough. Raising her weapons, she prepared to sidestep (or jump over) a slash of that sword, after which she'd counterattack, trying a Holy Cross.

Seems like both Sonic Blow and Holy Cross does nothing as it just tinks off his armor, which is strange enough already.

Oh, by the way, its counterattack to Tenshi's attempt is swinging its huge sword at Tenshi in a huge arc that it also includes Ryouko.

Ryouko was nearly caught by that swing, and would have been in considerable trouble if it had landed...

But with speed and agility that surprises even her, her body twists out of the way and dodges at the last second. The Increase Dodge of a Thief is quite useful.

While Tenshi actually managed to auto guard the swing as she quickly raised her rocky shield. Annoyed that her attack did do nothing, she decided to rely on the properties of her weapon, not those fishy skills of this world, and simply stab it in an area that seemed less covered than the others: The stupid-ugly FACE.

It hits! Though, it would be anticlimatic if the blow finishes the guy off, won't it?

The monster roared as its huge sword is swung in yet another arc, and bullrushing Tenshi without giving any amount of care to Ryouko.

If Tenshi was going for the face, Ryouko would go for the legs. Even this creature had to have some sort of the weakness, and if they could systematically take it down somehow that's what mattered. While she found it a bit distasteful to do, she soon shimmered out of existence as Cloaking set in.

And with that done, she shot around to attack the monster from behind, going for the back of its legs.

Tenshi pretty much was half thrown back, half moved back to escape the worst of the rush, but endured. Quite a heavy attack, however...

"You twit, prepare to vanish somewhere!" She yelled and, upon noticing that Ryouko had vanished somewhere (hopefully for a sneaky attack) focussed on defense, that is, moving out of the way of the blade and blocking when she couldn't.

And Ryouko's strike hits, causing the monster to stumble into the ground with a loud crash. Before anyone else could do anything though, the monster got up, and...

"YOU IMBECILES WILL PAY FOR THIS!

LORD OF VERMILLION!"

Suddenly, from the ground, explosions of fire and lightning begins to appear on the ground around the fighters, strangely, the monster is unharmed though!

"Shit...!" Ryouko couldn't help but curse, as she began to struggle to dodge around the explosions.

Although she wasn't entirely successful, as some managed to hit her and throw her around.

Tenshi is of course closer to the enemy, and gets more hits. "Hey, thats my kind of attacks, don't copy them!" she shouted as she tried to graze those hits while still, of course, getting hit - more than Ryouko, due to her closer proximity.

"You JERK!"

"Is that all?"

Turns out big, large and ugly just grabbed Tenshi's sword, and with a tug, threw both weapon and user into the other adventurer, before the man bellowed to the sky.

"Begone from the mortal realm, STORM GUST!"

And with that, a blizzard descended on the two, what's strange about this magical blizzard that it will only take a while for both of them to be frozen.

Damnit, ice. Why did it have to be ice?

Ryouko grimaces as her movement slows, before coming to a stop. She just stares daggers at her foe, clenching her katars as she tries to force her legs forward once more. As seconds seem to taken an eternity, she begins to feel motion returning to her as she shoots forward.

Enough games.

"SOUL BREAKER!"

Tenshi made her weapon Vanish before it could stab Ryouko, and picked it up while rushing out of the ice, just in time before it could freeze her solid.

Chucking a potion, Tenshi raced back towards the ugly hulk once the stormy whiel was allowing her to do so. Stabbing time once more.

Its countered by the big sword, and the monster took a step backwards, before breaking the clash with ease, and bringing his sword down like a hammer.

I hope Tenshi has a resistance to Hammer Falls

While its attention is focused on Tenshi again, Ryouko will attack from behind.

Tenshi lacks resistance in general, and is momentarily stunned, however, she's a Vit Paladin, so the stun won't last long. Hopefully, she still is getting the attention for Ryouko's attack~
