WHO: Kyoko and EVERYONE she gave invites to who decided to show! Everyone.
WHEN: September something or other.
WHERE: Schmuck E. Gouda's. Somewhere in the Marketplace.
WHAT: Birthday party! Birthday party!

Welcome to Schmuck E. Gouda's, one of the finest children's entertainment establishments for the last five hundred and eighty-nine years (Confuto Ordinatio Standard Time)! It has been a popular spot for parents across the multiverse, with a branch located in ninety-five percent of all known worlds! Play games! Ride the rides! Gorge on pizza! Enjoy one of our finely crafted bouncy castles! Everyone is welcome at Schmuck E. Gouda's! Don't mind the peeling paint now!

[A note hangs just outside the door: Due to maintenance difficulties, the no-power field is temporarily shut down. Please remember to keep your children from destroying Schmuck E. Gouda property. Thank you and have a nice day!]

Buffet: A long table constantly being served with the finest of all children's cuisine! Enjoy the fabulous spread of pizza, salad, and punch! Sadly, due to a lack of funds, this is all that's being served today.

Obstacle Course: Hey, guys! Remember Discovery Zone? If you didn't know any better, you'd assume this was a complete and utter knockoff with a neon pallet swap.

Rides: A fine array of choices here--too bad the only things without some kind of maintenance sign on it are the ferris wheel, the bumper boats, and the wall climb.

Games: Apparently this is where the majority of the money goes as there is a huge array of games here of a large variety and with trademarked names, too! Perhaps others will see themselves slapped onto a machine as well without their consent nor knowledge ("Multiple worlds copyright act of 456 COST. So, no, you are not owed any royalties!). Too bad everything seems rigged so people only can get one or two tickets at a time, and you need 500 tickets to get the cheapest of prizes at the counter.

Show: A sign in front of the (still sparking) electronic mascots: CLOSED DUE TO MAINTENANCE. Occasionally a poorly costumed rendition of Schmuck E. Gouda himself will get on stage only to flee in terror when anyone who looks younger than three tries to approach him. Don't mind the burnt out spots on the carpet, folks! All part of the decor. Really.

Dining Area: A place for parents to sit while their kids are distracted have fun! Come sit and dine and enjoy yourselves here at Schmuck E. Gouda's!

Bouncy Castle: Near the broken down roller coaster and where one is most likely to find the birthday girl herself in a festive conical hat enjoying herself. Be careful she doesn't drag you in~

[When making a post, just list where you are in the header of the comment and post in whatever format you're comfortable with. Most of all: have fun!]

"Kyokoooooooo!"

Frankie waved vigorously enough that her stitches loosened a little and her hand started to bob around. She ran up to her more-normal-looking friend and smiled. "Happy birthday! I got you something!"

"Yeah!" Frankie handed Kyoko a box with her other hand -- wrapped with lightning-bolt paper, naturally -- and nodded. "Huh, really? Oh, you're right! Thanks!" She pulled out her sewing kit and began stitching herself back together like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Okay, Chika's just going to stand here and stare at everyone for a bit as they made fools of themselves inside the Bouncy Castle.

Not if Chika has anything to say about it. Spoilers: She doesn't.

Good Lord. Koizumi gingerly steps into the castle, with something unusually stiff in his posture. In some ways, Kyoko was more terrifying than Haruhi these days. That was the sobering thought of the day, for sure.

He slips a hat of his own in a quick, easy motion, while taking a deep breath and preparing himself for wackiness.

That was, indeed, the major consolation. He bears the glomping stoically, trying to lower her to the ground while maintaining his Dignified Composure.

"Naturally, I wouldn't have missed it for the world." He frowns a little. "As they say. A very happy birthday to you, Kyoko-san."

Well, it's free food, so Nier can't really complain too much, especially considering some of the crap he's been eating lately what with the food resources getting scarcer back home. WEISS, if anybody, has more to complain about, if the fact he's hovering HIGH above a mass of kids reaching up and trying to grab him is anything to go by.

"Blast it, you little hooligans! If I have told you once, I have told you a thousand times! I AM NOT A STORYBOOK. Would you leave me alone already?!"

Screw cheesy animatronic shows. THIS is the best thing to watch right now, judging by the huge grin on Nier's face.

Probably doesn't help Weiss resembles one of the place's mascots on top of that, does it? Minus the very obvious wire work, of course.

Kyonko sits down next to Nier, popcorn pizza.giffing to her heart's content at these shenanigans.

"Okay, coming to this thing is now totally worth it."

"Speak for yourself, you disrespectful --"

"No no. I think she's on the mark for this one," replies Nier, one finger in the air.

"I truly loathe you sometimes."

The older man guffaws, sipping on soda. "Man, I don't remember the last time I was able to relax at all like this."

Phoenix seriously wishes places like this served booze right now. "Remind me why I'm here again?" he asks a nearby adult.

"Because you're weak to hyperactive little girls?" Souji guesses, between munches of pizza. That's why he's here, after all.

"You have NO idea how on the mark that is. Remind me to introduce you to Maya one of these days," Phoenix replies, a slightly resigned look on his face. "At least she looks like she's enjoying herself. Then again, she never STOPS looking like it."

From: [identity profile] punches-fog.livejournal.com
"True. I think that's how she keeps us coming with her," Souji says, nodding sagely. "Our subconscious thinks, 'she's having so much fun she's going to explode. There must be something interesting here.'"

"I guess that's one way to look at it. There's something kind of infectious about it, even if you can't really fully understand it," Phoenix agrees. He mulls this. "It's like... hmm, like they provide the sort of excitement to life you may not necessarily know --" "...to provide for yourself.
