As the city continued to burn, a group of travelers emerged from a house that is miraculously still standing despite the damage done to its surrounding. One of them is the Lord Knight, Hayne Roderick, who was tasked by the King to help in the evacuation progress before joining the other adventurers coming over from all the corners of the world to try and defeat the abomination that is destroying the city.

[Here's a list of Job Classes your character can take. Do note that since everyone here is experienced, you all can pick a Transcendant Class.

Each participants are handed a set of healing items of these following types in a Bag of Holding given by Hayne. Do OOCly tell the amount of healing items used so I can keep track of it.

"Of course it wouldn't be easy..." Garrett seemed almost annoyed by this interruption. He spun the dagger in his hand and looked around. "Well, let's get this over with."

He then cupped a hand over his mouth and yelled. "HEY! We know you're out there!"

Stealth was obviously not the first thing in mind for him at this moment...

Hayne just facepalms at Garrett's display of recklessness. Sure that might cause the killer to attack them, which is both a good thing and a bad thing.

The sound of another person in armor approaching stopped Hayne from reprimanding Garrett though, and instead, he clamps his armored hand over the Stalker's mouth.

"SHH! Someone's coming."

"Ow!" Garrett made a motion to pull Hayne's hand away so he could yell some more, this time at him.

Then he heard the sound of someone approaching and chose to whisper instead. "Well, it worked..."

Suddenly, the clanking of armors becomes more louder.

Not to mention, the number of intervals between steps suddenly decreases rapidly, signifying the person is now running.

"!!!"

Hayne immediately pushed Garrett out of the way in the next second, before unsheathing his sword and clashing with an unknown, masked knight.

It was instinct that kept Garrett from falling on his face. With a grunt he spun around and tightened his grip on his dagger.

"Hold on!" He was already moving as he spoke, taking advantage of the clash with Hayne to slip around behind the masked knight. He planned to finish things quickly with a Back Stab.

The stab pierced the knight right through! Hayne then used the opening to push the stranger away, which was a success as the Knight slid off the dagger easily, and knocked down to the ground.

"...I suppose he's the perpetrator then." Hayne said without even batting an eyelash. 10 years in a battlefield tends to skew your perception of killing after all. Taking a step towards the injured Lord Knight, his instinct suddenly flared as the masked man got up quickly into a crouching position, and lunged at Hayne again!

"GARRETT! DID YOU MAKE SURE IT WAS FATAL!?"

"That was a neck hit! That's pretty damn fatal!" Garrett was positive that he'd struck true, and seeing the attacker stand up again was almost an insult.

Even worse was that the attacker hadn't even reacted to him. "He sure doesn't like you!" he yelled, rushing forward for a second try, this time putting all of his strength behind the attack.
