Phoenix checks his plat. After some calculations, it turns out that the amount Dashwood was asking for is, by plat standards, affordable, although hardly chump change. The book had been a stroke of luck, though.
Or was it? I know for a fact Dashwood knows Georik and seems to know him pretty well. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I can't shake the feeling there's more to it than what's on the surface. He shakes his head. But I can't worry about that now. An innocent man's life is on the line here.
He waits in the gate complex for his protection. He'd like to say he doesn't think he'll need it, but even he's not convinced of that.
