What: Fishing Trip!
Where: Youkai Mountain Spring, Gensokyo
When: After Meiling is healed and Sonic has his new "roomie".

Sonic was more than happy to get the hell out of CO for a while. With a new roommate in Robotnik, and bureaucratic stonewalling in his efforts to get him kicked out under the premise of it being "too personal" he was spending as much time as he could away from CO grounds until he could think of a way to work this through. He knew Meiling needed some downtime too, so this trip to the lake on Youkai Mountain was probably the best thing they could possibly do.

Sonic figured he was prepared for anything on this fishing trip. He had the scant equipment he normally used plus a human-sized fishing rod because his form wasn't going to be quite to erinacious over there... Plus another rod for Meiling, of course; it wasn't like she could stop by the Mansion and grab hers. If they ended up camping by the late, he'd probably just jog a few dozen miles back to the village to pick up some stuff. But as Meiling jumps through the portal after him, she'll find Sonic in full youkai form, his arms lowered and the equipment dragging on the ground, staring at the landscape and wide-eyed in amazement. "Whoa..."

Why? Because the entire world seemed to be covered in pink. Flowering cherry trees were everywhere, billowing softly in the wind and scattering rosy confetti all over the place.

"...this is amazing. I knew it was spring around here, but I had no IDEA..."
